Sole source.
Research grade.
The ASL Education Center is the sole source provider of the American Sign Language Assessment (ASLA). Individual Student Reports (ISRs) display population-referenced results on ten discrete vocabulary, grammar, and syntax subtests.
The ASLA platform allows students to independently log in, view instructions and test items, and select from multiple-choice answer options.
ASLA’s proctor portal allows test administrators to manage student data, track progress, create proctor accounts, and access ISRs after exams are completed.
Researchers exploring questions of language acquisition and fluency have also found ASLA an effective tool for gathering critical data from study participants of all ages.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is an ASL-specific assessment important?
Traditional English-based assessments can create language barriers. Delivering assessments in ASL ensures that you are measuring a candidate's actual subject knowledge rather than their English reading proficiency.
Can you custom-design an assessment for our specific curriculum?
Yes, we collaborate closely with your team to design and produce secure, high-quality assessment videos aligned with your specific educational standards and objectives.
How do you ensure the assessments are secure?
We follow strict security protocols during the production, review, and delivery phases to protect the integrity of your assessment materials.
What platforms can host your assessment videos?
We deliver video files in standard, high-quality formats that can be easily integrated into most modern Learning Management Systems (LMS) and computer-based testing platforms.
